The Values that Guide My Practice:
Trust, Empathy, and Dedication

Areas of Specialty

Attachment Trauma

Our relationship with our primary caregivers growing up can have a huge impact on our lives, both positive and negative. Attachment trauma is a disruption in the important bonding processing between child and parent. That trauma may be overt abuse or neglect, or it may be less obvious – a lack of affection or response from a care giver. It can often leave us with a sense of self-doubt, a lack of trust in others, skepticism around relationships, or fear of commitment.

Sexual Identity, Behaviors, & Concerns

Human sexuality is one of the most complex and individualized aspects of our identity, and it gets caught up in a huge amount of social pressure. Most people will experience some type of sexual challenge or dysfunction, and question their identity at least one point during their life. Unfortunately, people rarely find welcoming audiences when discussing sexuality, and tend to feel isolated in their situation. Here you will find a welcoming and non-judgmental place to work toward sexual comfort and fulfillment.

General Mental Wellness

For the entirety of human history, we have found comfort in talking and sharing with others. Sometimes, we just need someone to listen to us while we go over what we have been through, or what’s on our minds. You don’t need to be in a bad place to seek therapy, we all benefit from objective and third-party perspective.

Depression and Anxiety

Depression and anxiety are often different sides of the same coin, and come from intrusive negative and/or fearful thoughts that we cannot seem to let go of or ignore. Both of these are experienced at some point by nearly every person on Earth, and despite how widespread they are, they can still be debilitating and difficult to get a hold of without perspective.

EMDR for Trauma

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma-focused therapy technique used to address how trauma makes us feel, think, and interact with the world around us. Using a variety of tools and techniques, clients will work through their trauma and gain skills to address any triggers or stressors in the future. Clients often report at the end of EMDR their relationship with the trauma has changed, and they often feel that the trauma is “hazy or gray” when they think about it.

Mood and Personality Disorders

Often described as a ridged way of viewing the world and struggling with emotional stability, personality and mood disorders can dramatically impact our relationships and our sense of control over our own livelihood. Though these are considered to by long-term and treatment resistant diagnoses, changing our relationship with our initial thoughts can be both empowering and effective interventions.

My Ideal Client

I am excited to work with clients who are ready to work on bettering themselves in whatever way they need. What makes therapy impactful and powerful is when a client feels they are worth the time and effort to change. For the past six years, I have worked in a variety of settings, most of which the clients were mandated to attend therapy. This has given me an exposure to a wide variety of clinical issues ranging from depression and anxiety to severe trauma and attachment issues. I want to bring my experiences to serve you and your goals. In session you will find a devoted and empathetic ally in your journey to mental wellness.
